Byblos, also known as Jbeil, is a historic and picturesque town on the Mediterranean coast of Lebanon. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, with a rich history that spans over 7,000 years. Byblos is often referred to as the "birthplace of the alphabet" as it is believed to be one of the earliest cities where the Phoenician alphabet was developed.
